Release of the Contribution to the ICCA Project: Does a Right to a Physical Hearing Exist in Arbitration:

Dr. Dalia Hussein, CRCICA’s Deputy Director, co-authored with Dr. Sally El Sawah, Founding Partner and Principal of El Sawah Law, Paris, Egypt’s National Report. The Report, forming part of the ICCA project titled “Does a Right to a Physical Hearing Exist in Arbitration”, was released on 18 March 2021. It focused on whether a right to a physical hearing existed under the Egyptian Code of Civil Procedure and the Egyptian Arbitration Law and tackled the impact of conducting remote hearings on the requests for setting aside and enforcement of arbitral awards in Egypt.
