CRCICA Mourns the Loss of Prof. Dr. Fouad A. Riad

On 7 January 2020, CRCICA has lost a great judge and scholar, Prof. Dr. Fouad A. Riad, Member of CRCICA’s Board of Trustees, Professor of Private International Law at Cairo University and the Sorbonne in Paris, Former Member of the National Council for Human Rights, and Former Judge of the International Criminal Tribunal for war crimes in the former Yugoslavia.

Prof. Dr. Riad was a Member of the Institut de Droit International, Former President of the Egyptian Society of International Law, and author of numerous law review articles and books, in Arabic, English and French, in various fields of private international law and comparative law.

CRCICA and the Egyptian and international legal community will always remember the footprint of Prof. Dr. Fouad Riad.
