Mr. Karim ElRouby is a Case Manager and Legal Researcher in the CRCICA Dispute Management Department. He is also the Director of Administration of the “AlexandriaU-CRCICA Arbitration Initiative”, a permanent legal education project established under the auspices of CRCICA and Alexandria University.

Prior to joining CRCICA, Mr. ElRouby gained practical knowledge in several legal disciplines through interning at prominent law firms and institutions in Egypt, in addition to participating in major regional and international moot competitions as a participant, then as a coach and arbitrator. Furthermore, Mr. ElRouby’s responsibilities as a founding member of the Executive Board of the AlexandriaU-CRCICA Arbitration Initiative enabled him to gain broad experience in the planning and organization of international events and programs related to the development of legal education.

Mr. ElRouby graduated from Alexandria University with an LL.B. degree. Then he started his postgraduate studies in International Law at Cairo University, with a concentration in Public International Law. He also went to the Africa Arbitration Academy in London, where he had a professional diploma in International Arbitration.

Mr. ElRouby is admitted to the Egyptian Bar Association and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).

Mr. ElRouby is fluent in Arabic and English, with a fair command of Italian.
