Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Raouf Appointed Member of Grand Egyptian Museum’s Board of Directors


In December 2020, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Raouf; Attorney at Law, Partner and Head of the International Arbitration Group at Abdel Raouf Law Firm, Member of CRCICA’s Board of Trustees, and Former Director of CRCICA, was appointed as Member of Grand Egyptian Museum’s (GEM) Board of Directors, which will be headed by Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Khaled Al-Anani.
The Board, formed by virtue of a Decree issued by Egypt’s Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, consisted of executive heads of the GEM, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board, and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), and other distinguished members.
The GEM is the largest archaeological museum in the world; containing many precious artifacts of ancient Egypt to be displayed for the first time, and equipped with latest technology (including virtual reality) to be an international center of communication between top museums. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the museum opening was rescheduled to be in 2021. For more information:
